Intermediate Religion - Happiness Project
This project accompanies the topics of true happiness, living in the Kingdom of God, and the Beatitudes. I created it as a project linked to pages 104-117 in the "Believe in Me" textbook for Grade 7 Religion; Appendix 4: Advent Supplement, We Believe in... Jesus our Lord. However, it can be applied to many teachings within the Religion and Family Life subjects. You will see and hear some really wonderful things from students with this one. Enjoy!
Cover It! GarageBand Assignment
This is an assignment I developed for my grade 6-8 students. It requires them to have basic knowledge of the GarageBand program (I used iPads), as they will be choosing a song of their choice to cover. This assignment is designed to be completed in partners, and took my guys roughly one month, having two, 40 minute periods per week.

Future of Music Technology Project
This is the front side to a two sided worksheet. This front page is to accompany a lesson about the history and transformation of music technology over the years. Boom Pipes Recipe - Instructions for Making Home-made Bass Set
Boom pipes are a novel yet musical addition to my Orff instruments (substituting for bass bars) as well as to my Boomwhackers and home-made instrumentarium. Students (of all ages) LOVE these!
Create an easy accompaniment by simply playing the chord names of a song as bass notes. You can also use these to play simple borduns or support Boomwhacker or bell chords.

Free teacher lesson plan and work sheet using "Ghost of John," the delightful American folk tune sung at Halloween.
Students will discuss Halloween traditions and symbols, then listen to the song, write their own verse(s) and illustrate their poem. This is a great group project option! It is so fun to see what your students come up with and can be used multiple times throughout the year. You can guide your students to base it on a specific theme, holiday, or whatever works best for students! This project can take around 3-5 days to complete. If you have a group that finishes faster, try having them memorize their lyrics to take it to the next level. You can even make it a competition between all the groups for the best performance!
