One of my favorite and most worthwhile activities!
Wonderful document for recording family facts and memories. This is a culture assignment that will be treasured for who knows how long. I hand out as extra credit, but I strongly encourage their use... where else will this information ever be captured? Students just ask questions of parents and grandparents. Even better, have them video the conversation.

Clothing In Your Closet - Reading Clothing Labels
Students will need to find 15 clothing items in their closet and look at the tags. They will look at the label's care instructions, the textile, and the RN number to lookup with the provided site. In this two-page assignment, students are given a list of Canadian foods. Mexican Cuisine Matching Activity
