The History of Chocolate - Article Quest / Webquest - Sub Plan!
Who doesn't love chocolate! This is a plan that I will often leave for my substitutes. It contains five articles regarding the history of chocolate and some short answer reading comprehension questions. I have done this by printing out the articles and using it as an Article Quest, and I have also done this in the Computer Lab as a Webquest - both the links and the articles are included in this file. This is also a great lesson to use when doing a Jigsaw Activity!

Regions of the United States by FOOD project!
In this project students will listen to "This Land is Your Land" played by Bruce Springsteen off of youtube. Then they will rewrite the song and replace the references to the physical landscape of the U.S. with references to our food landscapes. The students are allowed to either perform for the class live or record their song and email it to the teacher. Rubric is included (anything less than a C is a "do over"!).
