I’m studying the Argentine Dirty War with my Spanish 4 students this year. And so to go with that we’ve been watching Evita. Before beginning the movie, I wanted them to have a good understanding of who Eva Perón was and what was happening in Argentina during that era that set the stage for the dirty war.

Vaccai Singing Method for Chorus Distance Learning
I developed this lesson for my middle school chorus students while we were teaching online during the coronavirus pandemic. I selected the alto/baritone key signature for the Vaccai because, as my old voice teacher used to quip, “Everyone’s a mezzo soprano!” It’s a key that’s easy for everyone to sing, the soprano/tenor key regularly goes up to “E”s and “F”s, which may be uncomfortable for some singers.
