Without a rubric, students felt my grading of their presentations was arbitrary and unfair. I find this rubric for presentations helps keep me consistent and fair. I like to use a highlighter to fill out the presentation rubric. The point values can be changed to meet the needs of your classroom. I use this rubric for parent conferences to show progress throughout the school year. I highlight in a different color for each semester so parents can see their child's progress from the beginning of the year until the end. I then add up the total points and then average the class so I can compare and give parent's an idea of where their child is in comparison to their peers.
