This is a great, student-friendly, rubric to help them write a strong reading response every week. It can be used to help parents understand the expectations as well. I pair this with the CCSS by giving students one question to focus on during their reading each week. This is a Word document so the point value can be changed if you'd like. Enjoy!

Fairly simple way to keep track of students mastery of the 6th grade Reading Literature standards at the different Depths of Kowledge. Keep track of what level they are at on mastery. Typically, I use knowledge and understanding of vocabulary as DOK 1. This is a safe and easy way to keep track of student mastery progress and these "temperature checks" can easily facilitate differentiation! I use them and they totally motivate my 6th graders!!! More to come if I receive some good feedback! Thanks
