It remains the most significant novel to students that I have ever taught. This unit is created as centers and is student-led.

This is a great project to give to students while you read The Great Gatsby in class! A group project, it's a nice one to teach research and presentation skills (if you wish), as well as how to pull details from the novel itself to provide some context. I use it after completing Chapter 3; we will read for part of the period, and then groups can meet for the last half to work. It really helps to break up reading every single day--and they get ample time to complete the group work!
