Alg.2/PC: Graphing power functions
This 4 page guided notes is designed for precalculs/alg. II. The idea is that students explore various power functions and summarize how "k" influences the graph, and how "a" influences the graph. I have used this with my students, and the organizational chart on page 3 really helps bring the idea together. I have attached a completed copy of the notes, so you can see what the end product is (I think it helps to see what I was thinking when I created these notes).

Solving Systems of Equations by Substitution Notes and Tic-Tac-Practice Activity
In order to introduce solving systems by substitution, we did these guided notes and practice activity. First, I introduced three new vocab words and the procedure. Then we did a guided example, a partner example, and worked on independent Tic-Tac-Toe Practice. in my classroom the first to get done with each type of tic-tac-toe (vertical, horizontal, diagonal) gets a class reward ticket but you could also use candy / whatever you like to incentivize a little competition!

Forms of a Quadratic Function (Notes + Practice)
Do your students know the three forms of a quadratic function? (Standard, Vertex, and Intercept Forms) Students will learn how the three forms describe different aspects of the quadratic function (such as the vertex, the y-intercept, and the x-intercepts).
Factoring out a GCF and Factoring by Grouping
