This is a great friendship activity for students have a hard time telling the difference between a friend, a classmate and an acquaintance. Do they see everyone who is friendly as a friend? Do they misinterpret a smile as a sign of friendship? I was shocked to see how many of my students felt they had a lot more friends than they actually did. I use this as a base lesson before teaching some other social skills.  This lesson is designed to distinguish between these three types of relationships.
