My great-uncle was quarantined with others when he returned from World War I in 1918, in case any of them had contracted the newest influenza, caused by an H1N1 virus with genes of avian origin. He did not have the flu, but the fact that he wrote even a little bit about it is special to me. Here is an idea for a mini journal for the future.
