Let's Talk Turkey! Differentiated Thanksgiving Math
Reinforce your students' knowledge of estimating and addition with decimals with this "delicious" assignment! Students estimate the price of a Thanksgiving meal for a family of four people. Three Star Question Criteria
This document lists the criteria for different levels of questioning. Students in my class generate questions based on what they have read or learned using this criteria as a guide. With some practice, students are able to ask higher level questions that lead to more in depth discussions. Often I have students generate questions as a "ticket out of class". I will use these questions to review and to continue discussion on a topic during the next class.
