The third through fifth grade students in my drama club are at that stage where some of the boys think the girls have “cooties” and vice versa. In this play, the teacher allows the children to settle the question of male vs. female superiority in a classroom debate, where the children must provide facts, not opinions, to offer supporting details to justify their positions. Who wins? I’m pretty sure you already know, but the children certainly enjoy practicing their reading skills as they a

This play/program was written for a Red Ribbon Week Assembly and worked beautifully in encouraging students to stay off of drugs. It points out all the things that you can do instead of all the things people tell you not to do. There are four main speakers and a multitude of one liner parts. There is very little acting requried by the main 4 speakers, but the one liners have quite a few actions. There is a section where either students can do the actions and not speak or you could have teach

Perseverance Dramatic Oral Presentation

My theater class was asked to give a monthly presentation to the entire school during our student of the month assembly. Each month, there is a different character trait that is stressed; in this case, perseverance.
