Parts of a Seed
Use this page to teach students the parts of a seed. Soak fresh seeds (We used lima beans) in water until they absorb water, the seed coat starts to come off, and they start to split open. Should take several hours. Students will each get their own seed and will be able to identify each part on their seed. They will tape each part of their seed to the bottom of their paper.

Ordering Numbers In The Thousands Flowers
Flowers Ordering Numbers Least to Greatest Task Cards in the 1,000s has a spring theme. You may also have students order the cards from greatest to least (answer key shows least to greatest). Perfect to use with a place value unit. Spooky Halloween Music Rhythms
Students can work alone or with a partner to create spooky rhythms. They can perform them for their class! Students need to think of something having to do with Halloween (skull, bat, skeleton, jack-o-lantern) and think of the rhythm it makes (ex- "skull" = quarter note). They need to draw their item, notate it and print the word if you desire.
