Parts of a Seed

Use this page to teach students the parts of a seed. Soak fresh seeds (We used lima beans) in water until they absorb water, the seed coat starts to come off, and they start to split open. Should take several hours. Students will each get their own seed and will be able to identify each part on their seed. They will tape each part of their seed to the bottom of their paper.

This game was designed for my students to practice pitch reading. You will need a dice and game piece. I have used this board with k-12 but I am sure you could use it with adults. This does not teach pitch just allowes for practice. Can be put on overhead and played with teams in class. Please follow me so when I post a new item you will be notified. Feel free to email me with requests for alternate programs. Most pages are black and white so they can be easily printed or copied.
