Parts of a Seed
Use this page to teach students the parts of a seed. Soak fresh seeds (We used lima beans) in water until they absorb water, the seed coat starts to come off, and they start to split open. Should take several hours. Students will each get their own seed and will be able to identify each part on their seed. They will tape each part of their seed to the bottom of their paper.

EOG preparation strategy
Be as tough as "a rock" on the End of Grade test! This is what my students use to prepare for the EOG. Most students struggle with understanding the question. This strategy helps them to find evidence to prove their answers and make them slow down a bit.

Ordering Numbers In The Thousands Flowers
Flowers Ordering Numbers Least to Greatest Task Cards in the 1,000s has a spring theme. You may also have students order the cards from greatest to least (answer key shows least to greatest). Perfect to use with a place value unit.
