Self-advocacy Brochure
Every year, students on my caseload share their self-advocacy brochure with teachers and staff. It helps them with communicating information about their hearing loss and accommodations. The headings on the brochure can be edited so it is specific to your student, along with the information on each page. I included my student's brochure as an example. Kids of all ages love printing out a copy for each of their teachers, writing their name on it and handing it off in the beginning of the year.

Spooky Halloween Music Rhythms
Students can work alone or with a partner to create spooky rhythms. They can perform them for their class! Students need to think of something having to do with Halloween (skull, bat, skeleton, jack-o-lantern) and think of the rhythm it makes (ex- "skull" = quarter note). This worksheet I created, is a fun way for students to practice their treble clef note recognition. Each student must recognize where each note falls on the staff and create the word below. There is an extra page for students to create their own words using the "musical alphabet" I have left it empty (treble/bass) so students can choose which one they'd like to use.You can use it as a test tool where students exchange papers on their own.
