The Earth's population is large, and growing and science will lead the way on creativity, and expanding the output of farm production! Have a great time as students talk about their designs, and hang them on a bulletin board. Perhaps, a few prizes might be exciting.

Earth Science Lesson Plan: Friendly Guide to Climate Change Video Guide

Easy activity for teachers who want to teach students about climate change! (and get a break from talking)Put this 17 minute video on ( video link ) and have students watch and fill out the blanks. The video has beautiful illustrations and is amazing in that there will be action steps that students can choose to do to help with the issue of climate change. Then they can discuss these action steps in a group and/or you can have a class discussion after. I ended up putting these ideas on a class

Earth Day: Climate Change from the Perspective of a Soccer Ball

Earth Day: Climate Change from the Perspective of a Soccer Ball presents some major problems that can be tackled by students via their favorite toy to give Earth a voice on its day. Earth Day usually comes as an after thought, but this lesson engages student to the degree that the student's toy becomes involved, traveling to many places, regions, and location, during interpersonal relationships as it describes the problems facing us all. Ever wonder what happens to your toy when it is broken, l

I taught a class called Environmental Studies where students learned about their environment and how their impact affects the air they breath, the water they drink and the food they eat. The lessons are based around the 17 Global Goals that were created by the UN. This lesson is for them to take one of the Global Goals and 'teach' to the school about it through a bulletin board that are on the hallway walls. This was perfect for Earth Day activities later on that week.

Earth Day Activity

This is a super quick activity that can be done in just 30 or 40 minutes. I chose to use the book "The Curious Garden" by Peter Brown to go along with this activity, but it can really go along with any book about the Earth. My students love to discuss, so this was an activity they really enjoyed. Side Note: I also chose to have my students write their names in the hearts as I thought it added a cute touch.

After brainstorming an Earth Day chart with my students, I came up with this template to go along with it. We had discussed ways to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle to help keep the earth clean. At the top of each section they can write one way and on the bottom is room to draw a small picture. We cut them out and displayed them on a bulletin board. I printed out a picture of the earth and a heading to go with it. This activity can also be used after reading an earth day book that discusses Reduci
