Concept maps have been shown to be good tools for organizing complex information, thus students may benefit from keeping their concept maps for later use and/or posting them around their learning environment. Directions: Provide students with word lists (provided below). Ask student groups to make concept map using the word list. Indicate to students that every concept map may look different, but that it's okay-as long as the concept map makes sense.

Using the directions, students will make their own Snowperson! I print each student a snowman base, then read them the directions to complete the snowperson. After they are finished I have them put their name on the back. Then I hang them all on the bulletin board with the directions posted so that parents can try to figure out which one belongs to their students!

Digital Learning Poster Quotes - Technology Poster Quotes

Included are 4 quotations to inspire digital learning through technology that actually hang in my 5th grade classroom. As the front page states, I am practicing some project based learning techniques this year. This means that the students create the project and I guide/lead them to create questions which keep them on curriculum points. This method allows for a ton of freedom in the method a student submits work, as long as they stay within rubric guidelines. I hope your students enjoy the

I use this in my classroom to remind students of the expectations for behavior during classroom meetings. These are slightly different than my Morning Meeting norms as classroom meetings are times when we have to problem solve through sometimes difficult or sensitive issues. This document can be modified by you or your students as necessary. The chevron background keeps it fun and eye-catching.

That's when you can create repetition and fun. On Fridays, I have Scavenger Hunts. These are activities that were learned through the week or the year. Once you try them, you'll have fun making up your own, and students want to make up their own challenges. Kids love them, beg for them, and can hardly wait for the next one. Start with a

Students start their paper clips on Great Job every day. (I put paper clips with their classroom number on it (1-18) along the side.) If their behavior is poor, they move their clip down the row.
