Transportation Lesson on Sailboats
This is a lesson involving water travel (sailboat) and wind energy. It explains how people travel so their feet do not hurt. It can be used for a theme on transportation, a theme on renewable energy, a theme on buoyancy, etc. We used straws to blow the boat from one side of the plastic crate to the other. Each child had his/her own straw. The boat moved when air was blown at the coffee filter sail.
