Spanish Monthly Speaking Rubric
I have developed this form to keep track of students' progression in speaking Spanish during the school year. (THIS CAN EASILY BE MODIFIED TO FIT OTHER FOREIGN LANGUAGES, TOO!)

After several weeks of me choosing the song of the week, the students have a research project where they research song lists and choose their own artist. They study the life of this artist, write a biography, choose a song, and find a grammatical structure that they want us to focus on. Students loved this and I did too since it introduced me to songs that interested the students. It was definitely the project of the year for my 9th graders! Spanish Body Parts RIDDLES for dry-erase board practice
Here is a simple list of riddles I came up with to practice Spanish body parts with my Spanish 2 students. I read them a riddle and they write the body part on their dry-erase board. The students hold up their Spanish word for me to see. Sometimes we do this as a contest, but more often it simply adds some variety to class.
