A Menagerie of Multiplication 0-9
Think about how quickly our students learn the words to their favorite songs! Original songs, raps, and chants incorporating multiplication facts 0-9 will make the repetition more fun and interesting. These songs were a result of an action research project which showed significant student progress after using two of the songs for only two weeks. Prime Number song
One of the most difficult 4th grade standards, in my opinion, is identifying prime & composite numbers between 1-100. I decided to tackle this standard with a song and nearly all my students now know every prime number between 1-100! This goofy song (to the tune of What Does the Fox Say?) may have your students annoying others when rattling off these lyrics, but they'll certainly know their prime numbers, and the difference between a prime and composite number!
