This a lesson plan for students who are beginning Ballet while learning the anatomical functions and structures of Bones in two fundamental Ballet Steps (Plie + Cambre). This is Lesson 1 of my Anatomy Unit, A Dancer's Body, which is also available on my store. This lesson comes with an assessment, along with both facilitation and supplemental materials. Preferably for 8th graders + High School students.

In this project, students will research an African Tribal dance. These slides are the instructions and rubric for the project. Students will create a slideshow presentation about the tribal dance, including music, costume, and movement. They will find youtube videos of that movement and include themselves trying it!This project will take a week of in-class time to work and several more days for presentations. It can be done virtually as well!
