Hi all! I saw a picture simliar to this online but couldn't find a hard copy to be able to print and use it in my classroom. I took the idea I saw in the picture and put my own little spin on it and created a word document that I could print and share! After reading a Martin Luther book to my students I had them create this adorable little craft and write what they learned about Dr. Martin Luther and wrote what their dream for the world is. ENJOY!

This is a project that can be adapted to any grade level. Students will pick a famous American and research facts about the person. They will then decorate a can that resembles that person and put their researched facts inside. Each students will present their project and the class can have fun guessing who their famous American is!

Leadership Poster Project for National Honor Society
This is a project that any group interested in leadership can complete. I currently use it for National Junior Honor Society, but it can be used in National Honor Society as well. Students will interview a community leader, and will create a poster reflecting the interview. The interview is guided by the questions on the document. Students can present the final product, or it can be displayed during the months of January and February when schools celebrate American leaders.

African American Scrapbook Project
This is an at home project for students to complete for Martin Luther King Jr. birthday and Black History Month. The African American Scrapbook project is a 12 page project that incorporates research, and fun all in one. Students are asked to create a birth certificate, stamp, news article, epitaph, certificate of achievement, Dear Diary entry, etc. for a famous Black American. Ethics Project Outline: Racism
This is an outline for an ethics project on racism. This project covers a pretty wide scope. Students are allowed to choose their topics (to be okayed by teacher) and the form they will present (bristol board, website, Prezi, etc).

Dr. King is one of the few true American heroes because he was brave enough to preach his thoughts and perform demonstrations without fear. He dedicated and sacrificed his life for the equality of all people.
