I got the idea for these from another TPT user, however I have fine-tuned them quite a bit. I currently have students on the autism spectrum that are unable to distinguish/answer simple WH questions. So I use these not only for IEP data but as practice and learning tools. I read the sentence to the student, have them read them back, and then ask the following WH questions. I always write their immediate responses with no prompting. Then after each question is answered we go back and use color

No set is required and the costumes can be from any time period. A table with benches and a cauldron are the only set pieces needed. Although there is an extensive prop list, the items are easily found. The script focuses on delivering snappy dialogue and picking up cues. Thank you for reviewing this lesson plan of The Tom-Chick by Carla Kirkland! The Tom-Chick is a literary study geared for the intermediate grades (4th and 5th). It is an excellent source to exemplify the term personification! Embedded within the story is a surreptitious proverb about accepting and liking “who” you are. Included with this lesson: 1) An original story, written by the lesson author (me). It is actually based on a true story of my own poultry; 2) Ten carefully structured que

Literature Circle Pacing Calendar for At-Home Reading

This is a great organizational tool for any 6-12th grade student or class! When students get to junior high and high school, much of the reading they have to complete is at home. Whether it is a novel, informative text, etc., it can be difficult for students to make sure that they get all of that reading done! When students participate in literature circles, it can be difficult for the teacher to monitor student progress and to make sure they are on track with their reading. Rather than put
