Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening (SA and Piano)

Created by
Marzipan Music
The package includes the full score as well as a separate, reproducible vocal part. This wonderful poem by Robert Frost describes the feeling of pausing deep in the woods, on a dark and snowy winter night. We experience a sense of peacefulness in the solitude there but we cannot linger long as there is still much to do and a long way to go before we can rest. This song was written to allow the lyrics to flow naturally without confining them in strict rhythms; performers are encouraged to interpret

Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Sleigh! by Mo Willem

Here's a fun book and song for your kids! I purposely made the instrumentation sound a bit like Jingle Bells. There is only one measure where they change, and they will need to practice that, but it shouldn't be too difficult. Remember to add a Hey! at the end on beat four!

Ta and Ti-Ti Rhythm and Drumming Lesson Using Pokko and the Drum Book

Using this lesson and the book "Pokko and the Drum" by Matthew Forsythe, the children can drum along with Pokko as they follow her journey! Even though the lesson is written to use a frame drum, use any rhythm instruments you have available and modify as you need to. Have the students drum, walk to and decode the chant for an engaging lesson on ta and ti-ti rhythm syllables. Works for either in person or virtual teaching!REMINDERS1. Story of Ferdinand: Stories with Music for Valentine's Day

The story of Ferdinand shares a message of peace and contentment. Children are delighted to create the music for Ferdinand and the other bulls; this requires two very different styles! The lesson introduces terms and symbols for piano, forte and crescendo, as well as suggested sound effects and a song with easy Orff accompaniment.Source: Story book by Muno Leaf. Squeak, Rumble, Whomp, Whomp, Whomp by Wynton Marsalis

This is a fun one! I did not add percussion instruments because each of us has different instruments in our classroom. I would add something that "squeaks" when we sing "Squeak" and something that "rumbles" when we sing "Rumble" and some kind of drum for Whomp, Whomp, Whomp. I would use a Tick Tock for that "Tick, Tock" and maybe a clave or woodblock for "Clack" and a bass drum for "Boom Boom". You can obviously add other instruments as well. Have fun with it.

Think William Shakespeare meets 50-Cent meets CliffNotes. I'm Bob Zaslow, but all my students call me, "Mr. Z." I've written the book RAP-NOTES: SHAKESPEARE'S GREATEST HITS for every middle-or high-school kid who has any fear about reading and understanding Shakespeare. I've told the entire story of Macbeth, Hamlet, Romeo & Juliet, King Lear and A Midsummer Night's Dream...in rap and rhyme. And I've hired two talented rappers to record the raps, available on I-tunes and CD-baby for a dol
