Compound Sentences Activity - Year 2 Sentence Building
This activity comes in a PDF format and helps students understand that compound sentences have two ideas with a FANBOYS in the middle. It can be used in a variety of ways! I cut each strip out and students use a sentence starter, then they place a white FANBOYS next to it, followed by a sentence finisher. This descriptive writing activity is designed to be used with the book, Zoey and Sassafras, Dragons and Marshmallows by Asia Citro and Illustrated by Marion Lindsay.
