TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I started my career as a Kindergarten teacher in Philadelphia. After two years (and the pandemic!), I decided to get my certification in Library Science and become a Library Media Specialist for K-6 students. In 2023, I relocated and now teach a Library special in a K-4 elementary school.I am always looking forward to my next opportunity to learn and grow in this profession!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in the power of peer collaboration. I love learning centers and small group work! The more students can work together to solve problems and create new things, the more effective their education will be.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I grew up attending a public elementary school, but switched into private school for middle and high school. I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia and Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from WGU! I recently obtained my +30 through PDI credits and plan get more in the future. I currently hold two Level II certifications, one in Elementary Education and the other in Library Science. I consider myself a life-long learner!
