Brought to you by Kodaly Music With Mrs Perry, this lovely traditional song from Iran is sung in Farsi. But, don't let that scare you. It is easy to sing and, since it is totally done in an echo pattern, you can sing it and the students can copy you. It is sung slowly and is best sung with a drum accompaniment. This resource was made in honor of Arab-American Heritage Month. It follows the pedagogy of CRT (Culturally Responsive Teaching). There are 24 wonderful read-alouds. This virtual library is not grade specific because all ages will enjoy this resource. I have included a link to a writing extension "My Book Review" which can be printed on standard 8.5 X 11 paper. There are three different versions of the printable worksheet. Use the version most appropriate for the grade level(s) you teach.
