I have taught for 32 years, mostly in elementary school. During this time I have developed my program to include a 50 child choir, Irish Whistle, drumming circle, hand-chime choir, and K-5 Kodaly based music classes. I have performed in various singing and instrumental ensembles and competed at various venues. My experience also includes teaching / directing community choirs and founding a community choral festival for ages 8 through adult. In addition, I have written curriculum guides and guest lectured various collegiate classes, as well as district Professional Development Days. In 2020 I was selected as Columbus Symphony Orchestra's Central Ohio Music Teacher of the year.
My primary style of teaching is Kodaly based.
