Castles Photo Set {Educlips}
This is a set of castle images taken in North Wales, UK. A map is included to show where the castles are situated. Many of the castles were built during the reign of Edward I (1239-1307) during the conquest of Wales. Many of the castles were built in strategic locations e.g. rocky hill tops, near the sea and by rivers which made them easier to defend against attackers. Some castles are now in ruins but others are well preserved.
