This is what I have on the smartboard in the morning when the students are walking in. There is a different slide with a seasonal picture on the background. The students move their object to tell whether they will be having hot lunch or cold lunch. You could also edit it just to take attendance. The first slide is frogs and they need to hope to the lilly pads. Then there are apples for September, ghosts for October, turkeys for November, candy canes for December, and so on.
