Monkey Themed SmartBoard Attendance/Check-In

Handwriting Without Tears: Word Construction
These cards can be used as a stand alone NOTEBOOK file or inserted into an activity (for example, into a "morning message/circle" file as the "word of the day," or in a science lesson to introduce new vocabulary, etc.).
The teacher uses the stencil to create the word they want written, then locks down those selected tiles. To limit distraction, a teacher can then use the screen shade tool to cover the source letters.

Present Tense Verbs Activityfor smartboard 2
This is a great activity to work with students on present tense verbs.
It starts with a review of what a verb is.
It then has several slides of sentences where the students must determine if they add -s or -es to the verb. Once the students decide, you can slide the word into the box to determine if the students were correct.

This game is created for students to learn about test prep in a fun way.
It is a 30 minute activity that can be customized to your specific state. The game is set up similar to Monopoly.

Seasonal Attendance Smartboard
This is what I have on the smartboard in the morning when the students are walking in. There is a different slide with a seasonal picture on the background. The students move their object to tell whether they will be having hot lunch or cold lunch. You could also edit it just to take attendance.
The first slide is frogs and they need to hope to the lilly pads. Then there are apples for September, ghosts for October, turkeys for November, candy canes for December, and so on.

Easter Story Elements
This Easter activity helps teacher instruct students about the different story elements: characters, plot, and setting. The beginning part of the lesson includes definitions of each element. Then, the students are able to select a picture from the board of eggs, chicks, and bunnies and answer a question about a provided story. Each question relates to either character, plot, or setting and has an accompanying story to go with it.

Guided Reading Football Field - Center Tracker
This football field was designed for guided reading. I had 3 guided reading groups, each chose what football team they wanted to be. The scoreboards, football player uniforms, and pom pom colors can be changed by just ungrouping them. Questioning the Author
This smartboard activity is designed to teach students how to look back the story and understand how to answer questions based on Fiction reading. Students will read a story and then firgure out what "kind of questions" the questions are. The questions are on the 3 page of the notebook and get larger for students to read when they are clicked. Halloween Poetry
This is a fun Halloween activity that is also an introduction to different rhyming patterns of poetry. Students can underline the words that rhyme, or verbs, adjectives, etc. There are different possibilities. At the end, students have the opportunity to write their own RIP poems on a tombstone.

Interactive Morning Meeting SmartBoard - Special Education- Primary Students-
This is an interactive Morning Meeting routine SmartBoard Lesson which I built for my multiple disabilities classroom. Everything in the lesson is interactive and allows the students to be more involved.

Two Truths, One Lie
This game is a great way to get to know your students at the beginning of the year and incorporate the SmartBoard. This is a template for the game.
Students come up with two truths and one lie about themselves. All you have to do is type it in this template.
