I am a kindergarten teacher with 25 years of teaching experience.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love teaching kindergarten. It is amazing to see students enter the classroom not even knowing how to hold a pencil and seeing them learn to read and write by the end of the year. I love teaching in small groups and rotating students with literacy centers and math centers.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

During the 2010-2011 school year, I was chosen as Ben Hill Primary's Teacher of the Year as well as the Ben Hill County Teacher of the Year.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I received my Doctor of Education degree in Teacher Leadership from Walden University in June 2010. The title of my doctoral study is "Writing Conferences in Kindergarten: Using Feedback to Enhance Student Writing."
