Description

Do your students need practice writing CVC words after segmenting each word (isolating each sound)? This WINTER SNOWMAN CVC WORD resource is a NO PREP engaging activity for students to complete independently, in a small group or as a whole class activity.

This seven page pack has 9 snowmen graphics on each page. There is a picture of a CVC word on each snowman. There are 3 boxes under each picture for students to write each word in after sounding out and stretching each word.

There is one page for each vowel (a, e, i, o, and u) and two pages with a combination of these five vowels.

There is a "Name that Picture" page that tells the word for each picture in case there is a question about the picture name. Keep the page handy when using all seven pages.

If students finish early, have them flip to the back of their paper and write a sentence with each word on the front. Students can also color the pictures after completing the page.

This makes a great morning work activity, homework, literacy center, or review for CVC words. Students love using their mini slinkies to stretch out the words.
