TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My instruction is driven by my experiences teaching advanced courses for gifted students; differentiating content, process, and product within my self-contained classroom; and coaching educators in understanding and supplying responsive practices to meet gifted students' academic and social/emotional needs. I have taught for 7 years and worked in both public and private school settings.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I present gifted curriculum through a lens of inquiry and problem- solving. I believe that learning through conceptual, thematic units provides deeper, more meaningful instruction. I promote growth mindsets in my classroom and develop students' love of learning by providing hands-on challenges suited to their talents.
