This document contains a Guided Reading Journal for each chapter (Chapters 1-9) of Part 1: The Spark in Catching Fire. The journals contain Comprehension Questions, a short antonym/synonym exercise with five of the targeted vocabulary words, and a Like/Dislike section to encourage personal connections. Additionally, Chapters 1-6 contain a vocabulary worksheet that is either matching or fill-in-the-blank, using sentences taken directly from the novel.
