1-50 Chart Numeration
This is a worksheet that children must fill in the missing numbers from 1-50. Of course, you can mix up the numbers in many ways but it gives you a template and a quick idea if your students can correctly count to 50 and write the numbers in the empty spaces provided. Estimating with Percents Activity
This is a great activity to practice estimating a percent of a number. There are 24 problems. Cut out each problem and tape it to a student desk. Students move from desk to desk in order to complete each problem. Students have a recording sheet on which to show how they rounded the numbers and to record their estimates. Outdoor Maths Trail - Number, Measurement, Shape and more!
I love getting my class outdoors, and an outdoor math lesson early in the year is a great way to set the attitude towards maths for the rest of the year. I usually run this lesson in the second week of the school year, as our first ‘formal’ maths lesson.
