Narrative Writing - Book Trailer Project
This is a digital storytelling project in which students create a trailer for a novel they have read. Student access to computers or iPads is required. Common Core aligned. I hang the posters around the room and give each student a sticky note. They write their name on the sticky note and move it as they complete each step. This gives me and the students a quick visual of where everyone is and who needs a little nudging or assistance in order to move on.

Winter Break Reading Log
Use this resource to set a goal with your students for independent reading over Winter Break. You could add on an incentive for students who reach their goal or do a class celebration if everyone participates.
The reading log has an option to record pages read or minutes listened as some of my students listen to audiobooks. Great for accommodations for students with disabilities to still participate.
