Teaching is so rewarding, it has been a fun career. It challenges the mind and keeps us moving. Education is always changing. Working hard to keep myself, my teaching and my materials current and engaging is the foundation of my professional enjoyment and keeps the excitement of teaching alive. I have taught in 6 states and one foreign country.
Hands-on and discovery learning are cornerstones of my teaching sprinkled with lots of reading to broaden student knowledge base, so all students can be informed learners.
Yet to be added
I attended school throughout the US and went to HS in Frankfurt, Germany. I was thrilled when I decided to become a teacher. It was a natural fit, as I pondered all the professions, teaching just made sense. After one year teaching first grade I returned to college to get a Masters in Reading. I love learning and share that love with my students. I have so many materials for them to read. I want them to be able to read about anything they find interesting. Everyday there is something new to learn!
In my free time, I READ, garden, make jewelry, cross stitch and spend time with family and friends and I love movies. My future starts when I wake up every morning...Every day I find something creative to do with my life.
