This Cold Read assessment is the perfect reading skills test for your second or third grade class. Written for CCSS ELA standards (which are cited for each question on the Teacher Page), this test has a Flesch-Kincad readability of 3.2, right in the middle of the text complexity range recommended for both 2nd and 3rd grades.
