Sight Word Dolch Word Stories for Homework / Take Home
I made these sight word stories for my kindergarten students this year to go inside their homework packets once a week. The story includes the weekly sight words and also reviews the ones learned in the previous weeks. The stories build as you can see the further into the school year you go. The Island of Earth & Beginning of Time ~ a story of a Native American myth
This is a nice little story based on a Cherokee myth about the beginning of time. I originally wrote it for my 2nd grade class to learn proper nouns and thought it was also nice as story by itself. Plus, it got me drawing again, and even though I've seen better illustrations, they are mine and were fun to do.
This can also be used for Thanksgiving!
