According to studies on Positive Psychology, you need two positive thoughts or experiences to help erase one. A great way to help kiddos do this is to "save up" their positive thoughts and look back at them when needed. Have students write their positive memories on the pennies. This can be printed using a poster printer, and many students can add it! Or, you can give a copy to each student and challenge them to add pennies throughout the year!

I created this worksheet as a quick way to learn information about my students when I began my School Counseling job mid-year. I handed it out during my first Character Education class and paired it with my "reasons to see a school counselor" word search. This worksheet can provide a lot of relevant information and can be an easy conversation starter when getting to know new students. The background is transparent so it can be printed on colored paper. Hope you enjoy!
