This project is designed for 8th graders studying the Middle Ages. The project is designed so that kids get to pick and choose different activitites, each worth a different number of points. They essentially pick from a list of mini projects to design their own project. It would work for English and/or history classes and is easy to adapt. Viking Runes Worksheet
This is a one page (double sided) work sheet that shows students what type of alphabet Vikings used. The "futhark" alphabet it shown with the corresponding english sound below it. There is a riddle to solve, a few Viking words to translate, and then has students answer a few questions about themselves in runes as well.
