TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Throughout my teaching career, I have taught the following math classes: Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Intermediate Algebra, Pre-Calculus, High School Math Remediation, and Math History. I have also taught: ASB (Leadership, Student Council) Advisory (College Preparation, Career Preparation, Service Learning, Character Education). I have been teaching and working with high schoolers since I was a high schooler! My passion for teaching started when I volunteered as a Peer Tutor at my high school and as a classroom assistant in my younger sister's elementary school class. I then attended SDSU for math teaching. While attending SDSU, I worked as a high school gymnastics coach, a YMCA gymnastics coach, a private tutor, and as a middle school/ high school classroom assistant. After graduating from SDSU with a math degree and then a teaching credential, I taught in 2 charter schools in San Diego County, tutored math privately, coached gymnastics at a competitive club, and taught math and electives at One Spark Academy, a learning center for homeschool students.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to supplement math curriculum with projects (such as my Conic Sections Mini Golf Hole) and technology (such as my Transformations Projects). I try to create materials that are organized for teachers and interesting for students.
