I do a mini-lesson with my students to review fiction vs. nonfiction. Students then record their knowledge on the fiction vs. Nonfiction sheet. At each table I have a mixture of fiction and nonfiction books. Students go back to their tables look through the books and write the titles on in the fiction or nonfiction box on the sort those books side.
