Tongue-jaw dissociation exercises for speech sound errors
This is a compilation of four homework activities for kids who struggle with tongue-jaw dissociation, or the ability to move their tongue separately from their jaw. This can be at the root of many articulation errors, especially the most common sound errors found in the school system, such as /r/, /l/, /s/, /z/, and /th/. Pictures are included to help the students understand what to do, and the directions for each homework activity are written in simple terms.

Wonderful document for recording family facts and memories. This is a culture assignment that will be treasured for who knows how long. I hand out as extra credit, but I strongly encourage their use... where else will this information ever be captured? Students just ask questions of parents and grandparents. Even better, have them video the conversation.

Socratic Seminar - Perfect Peer Evaluation Rubric/Handout
This brief but engaging Checklist allows students from Elementary through High School to evaluate and "Coach" one another on key elements of Common Core Speaking and Listening standards while engaging in a Socratic Seminar.
