This is a super text evidence activity for any piece of fiction or nonfiction! Students love this, because they can be creative. Teachers love this, because we can "trick" our students into demonstrating an understanding of text evidence. Students pick a character and design a T-shirt that the chosen character would wear. The student then finds text evidence to support the claim that the T-shirt is appropriate for the chosen character.
