Assignment for students to take on the role of 1920s radio broadcasters. Can be submitted electronically or presented live. They are to be creative but must also include several factual elements that are described in the assignment sheet. Rubric included which is broken down into knowledge, thinking, communication, and application sections.

Tudors & Stuarts Assembly
An assembly detailing the events of the Tudor and Stuarts timeline. Each monarch (including Oliver Cromwell) has a comedic scene and there are potentially three songs involved. I will post the lyrics for free, the music is on youtube.
The duration of the assembly was approximately half an hour and it took my class three weeks to learn well. They really enjoyed this project and sharing their knowledge with the school.
I put a lot of work into this script which is why I am charging this price.

Treason On the Hudson: A Historical Play about Benedict Arnold and Major Andre
This play introduces students to one of the greatest spy stories in American history. Had Benedict Arnold’s treasonous plot to turn West Point over to the British succeed the success of the American Revolution would have been placed in great jeopardy. The Weddings of King Henry VIII: Best Man or Bridesmaid Speech
This activity uses the R.A.F.T. method (Role, audience, format, topic) and puts the student in the shoes of a friend of King Henry VIII or a friend of one of his wives.
Students are to write a best man/bridesmaid speech after gathering information for the person they choose to honor.
This activity also contains an example I wrote honoring King Henry VIII where I took on the role of his whipping boy.

The Great Fire of London- A Mini Play/ Readers Theater
This 15 minute performance details the events of the Great Fire of London. It has 12 parts, featuring 4 narrators, The Farriner Family (who owned the bakery where the fire started) Samuel Pepys and his family, King Charles II and the mayor of London. This script has accurate dates and real characters that witnessed the fire on the 2nd of September 1666. Can be adapted for a smaller or larger cast.
