This is an interactive project meant to stimulate interest in the criminal justice system. Over a span of 2 or 3 weeks, students will research a criminal court case and then will give a closing argument for either the prosecution or defense. In the best case scenario, the classroom is set up like a courtoom - students are jurors and the teacher is the judge. Project is heavily scaffolded and ends with a meaningful de-brief opportunity.
