Mock Trial by Jury

In this activity your students will put the Boy from "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein on trial for being a bad friend to the Tree.

Students will be assigned roles for the mock trial including: jury member, judge, witness, bailiff, member of the prosecution team or defense team and more!

Teacher slides will help guide students through an outline to draft opening statements, witness testimonies, direct and cross examination questions and closing arguments.

On the day of the mock trial, students will enjoy seeing their classroom transformed into a court room and working together to ensure justice is done!
