Writing and Graphing Linear Equations Project
This is the stained glass window project on steroids. Each student is given a list of conditions to choose from. They will choose 1 from each section and graph lines given those conditions. After graphing, students will create a table of information about each line. The table must include the number they chose, the equation in slope-intercept, standard, and point-slope form, the slope of the line, and both intercepts.

Graphing Quadratics Song Chain
This is a cut and tape colored musical "chain" activity used to practice graphing quadratic equations. The teacher should print the activity on three different colored pieces of paper for each student. The student then cuts out the pieces and tapes them in order to create a colored chain by matching the quadratic equation to its graph. This is a fun activity that gets students up out of their seats and moving around the classroom. Students will solve a quadratic and then use their answer to take them to the next place in the room. If they answer all of the questions correctly it should bring them back to their starting position. My kids have fun with this. Inequalitites Math Song
This is a song about how to solve and graph inequalities to the tune of "Dynamite" by Taio Cruise. My students and I sing this multiple times throughout the year to solve inequalities. I also use it as a call and response when students get stuck and don't know what to do. I'll watch students mouthing the words on tests and quizzes to help them remember. Like Term Activity Whole Class
Print out individual terms that vary by variable, degree, and coefficient. Pass out one term to each student. Ask the class to arrange themselves into "like terms." See what they come up with or give them specific instructions on how to gather in like terms. Once students are in correct groups, ask them to "simplify" themselves by adding. Emphasize to students that coefficients change when adding/subtracting like terms, while the variables and exponents do not.
